Maternity and new born photography is my passion. I love everything about it. I am a mother of two amazing children each with their own special talent and features which makes them unique. One of the lessons quickly learnt from children is patience, this is an important lesson required when trying to capture the perfect shot. Believe it or not an “out of this world” picture takes time and patience.
Pregnancy is such a special time, preparing for the arrival of your new one is so exciting. We don’t always feel great when we are pregnant but what we forget is that those beautiful curves and bumps are all there for a reason and the end result is receiving the ultimate reward. Let me photograph your tummy in the most artistic and magical way so that you can show baby one day how wonderful mom looked.
Something about those tiny fingers that curl around your finger with such affection. New born babies are perfection in every way, what could possibly be more beautiful? I prefer doing new born photo shoots within the first two weeks as this is the time that they still don’t mind being moved around. If mom is not fully mobile yet and unable to get to my studio, I will with pleasure, come out to the comfort of your home.
Older babies are fun to photograph as you never know what to expect! With a little time I will capture those precious moments (colic and all!)
Toddlers & Children love doing fun things, and you don’t get much out of them if they are not having fun. Whilst taking photos of your little ones, I will strive to keep the environment fun and relaxed.
In our busy lives, it’s easy to let life run away with us, we always think back and wonder where did the time go? There is nothing more precious than family. The time we spend together quickly turns from a special moment to a memory. Pictures capture our special moments and guarantee that they transform into magical memories never to be forgotten. This is the beauty of photography, you are at the end of my lens and I am able to give you something to reflect back on and show generations to come.

Avoid busy patterns, cartoons and logos on the clothing.

Don’t arrange haircuts or big events for the day of your shoot.

Denims work well with all backgrounds

*Photographing babies
Having no clothing shows the purity of your little one

Try not to dress and undress baby as this upsets them

Bring extra clothing incase of accidents

Bring lots of nappies and wet wipes

Bring a favorite soft toy or blanket

*Photographing children
Children have a short concentration so avoid too many outfits.

Bring a favorite toy or blanket to keep them in a comfort zone.

Don’t force them to do something as this will just end in tears

*Photographing families
Coordinate your clothing i.e. mom and daughter in pink/white/light blue tops and dad and son in blue/black/white shirts.

Remember not to overlook your shoes and socks or barefoot is best.
